What a moving bar adds to a rig
Each head on a moving bar tilts independently, so a single fixture draws waves, fans and ripples that a static batten cannot. Rows of moving bars create large kinetic looks on upstage trusses and LED-screen edges. Models with auxiliary LED strips add a second layer of colour or strobe.
Choosing a moving bar
Compare the number of heads, the LED wattage per head, the tilt or rotation range (continuous rotation on tornado bars) and the DMX modes. Large pixel modes give individual control of every head and auxiliary zone from a lighting console.
